Tour the New Westfield Public Library (Photos)

We visited the new Westfield Public Library at least once a week throughout the summer. We have had plenty of time to explore, taking advantage of the new work spaces, enjoying programs in the new community center, and checking out books and movies at the new front desk. If you haven’t checked it out yet, you really should stop by — it’s one of my favorite places in all of Westfield. Until then, take a quick photo tour on us:

The library regularly features books and displays on a theme.

I am in love with the reading nook under the large windows in the back of the all new Westfield Public Library.

The children’s department is larger than ever and filled with bright colors, things to do, and the fun and laughter of Westfield kids.

The craft room is still a part of the children’s center. We love the activities that go along with story hour and other events.

The teens have their very own room in the back of the children’s center, featuring YA literature, homework rooms, and study tables.

The new community room in the basement is huge and houses fun library activities like animal shows and other programs. It will also be available to the public for rental.

There is now an enclosed area for the public computers. Plus, the wifi password no longer changes daily. I love being able to automatically connect on my devices.

The work rooms are available for free use on a first-come, first-served basis. It’s a great space to work away from home, with plenty of seating and outlet access.
