Grand Park is the newest park in Westfield, Indiana. Opening next month, the new sports complex will feature 26 baseball/softball diamonds, 31 fields for soccer, football, rugby, field hockey and lacrosse, and 2 indoor facilities for year-round sports.
At a preview event in October, Grand Park showcased its field turf and pride in a state-of-the-art sports campus. The facility will not only be used by Westfield residents as a community park, but Grand Park will also play host to local youth sports teams, travel teams, college games, and soccer tournaments.
Originally scheduled to open in April, demand for the facilities has resulted in events scheduled for next month. Grand Park will play host to a college baseball game as well as a senior soccer showcase in March. DePauw University and Manchester University will play in the first baseball game on March 8. Additional baseball tournaments at Grand Park will begin in April as planned.
Also in March, WYSA’s Westfield Select Soccer Showcases will feature a boys’ showcase March 14-16, and a girls showcase March 21 – 23. Seniors on more than 50 travel teams will have the opportunity to play in front of around 40 college coaches, giving them a shot at scholarships by showcasing their talent at Westfield’s cutting edge venue.
These events are an amazing opportunity for Westfield and Grand Park to establish themselves as the go-to location for amateur sports.
